4-H & Scouting Support

4-H and Scouting are fabulous opportunities for kids to learn, experience things hands-on, and grow through education and responsibility. However, not all kids have the opportunity to participate in the events they may want to, due to a lack of access to livestock. Sometimes, our equine partners get hurt too, and kids are left without alternate options.

Here's How We Can Help

Leases - Lease a partner for short or long term. We will introduce you to our available candidates and allow both the 4-H Leader and youth participant to meet the horse. Leases can be short or long term, and can also be on-farm or off-farm. While under a lease, we cover routine medical needs, also. We will, of course, need to approve the facilities if leaving our farm, but otherwise, our terms are pretty flexible, so long as the horse is not asked to do more than it is capable of doing.

On Farm Learning - Schedule a hands-on lesson, and we will video tape it for your 4-H or Scouting Leader. (This is ideal for Scouting Merit Badges.) Our president was once a Scouting leader as well, and is versed in merit badge requirements.

Youth Day Camps - 4-H Leaders can connect with us for a single day camp or multiple days (depending on available horses.) This option is particularly useful for kids in the Horseless program, who can still have the opportunity to interact with a horse but not the responsibility of the full horse-owner programs.

Eagle Scout Projects - As our intiative is for community good, we are more than open to discussing Eagle Scout projects with Scouts. Come out and see us, talk with us, and throw us your ideas!

The Best Part?

If youth participants are actively enrolled and pursuing 4-H or Scouting projects and needs, our services are FREE. We will have some paperwork and processes, such as approving an off-farm lease facility, but there is no cost involved for kids to learn the programs they are interested in!
